Hillsborough Democratic Club

About the Hillsborough Democratic Club

The Hillsborough Democratic Club is an informal networking group founded in July 2008 with the intent to provide opportunities both intellectual and social for Democrats who live primarily in the 94010 area code, which includes Hillsborough and Burlingame, California. Members have the opportunity to choose among a series of intellectually stimulating and politically engaging events, including speakers from both the scholarly and political arenas, social gatherings, panel discussions, and candidate "meet and greets", among other things.

The HDC is also committed to outreach within the community at large, with special focus on our youth, the leaders of tomorrow. The HDC recently announced a matching grant to outstanding Hillsborough student, Victoria Lau, for her dedication and commitment in the area of community service and leadership.

Election year 2008 was the most excting in recent memory and we were fortunate to be at the forefront of historic change. Hillsborough is one of the last of our neighboring cities to charter a democratic club: San Mateo, Burlingame, Millbrae and Foster City have all had clubs for quite some time. We hope you wll consider joining the new Hillsborough charter.
